As so often happens, this blog is behind. I want to write posts about my week in Western Australia, two weeks in Tasmania, visits to Adelaide and Melbourne, and wine tasting everywhere possible. Plus I still have Philippines posts to finish and some going even further back into my time in Asia. And while I fully intend to get at least some of those posts done, it won’t be today. It’s a beautiful autumn day here, I’m staying with a dear friend from Boston and her family, and my time in this country is drawing to a close. I’d rather be enjoying the company of good friends and the beauty of yet another lovely piece of our planet than sitting in front of my laptop. So I thought perhaps a random collection of photos from my time here would do for today.

It’s been a whirlwind month in this land down under and there are plenty of stories and experiences to share that don’t appear in the photos above. I’ll do my best to get at least some of them up in the future but for now, it’s time I take my sore legs out for a walk. And no, they aren’t still sore from Cradle Mountain but rather from hiking up Mt. Bogong yesterday. And cycling to wineries the day before.
